Melissa’s work is focused on understanding how Lithium ions are conducted in solid state Li ion battery electrolytes. In particular, she is looking at the differences in conductivity between various bulk and thin-film polymers to identify relevant polymer properties that have an impact on this conductivity. This work is done in collaboration with Sara Sand.
