Sophie Coppieters ’t Wallant
Sophie’s research focuses on perovskite oxide surfaces in solid oxide electrolysis. Her current project aims to investigate strontium segregation on perovskite oxide surfaces, a key degradation pathway contributing to the reduction of reactivity to oxygen exchange reactions. The applications of solid oxide electrolysis include the conversion of electricity into chemicals and fuels, which is particularly relevant for facilitating a fully renewable energy system.
