Heejung’s research focuses on computational methods for designing electrochemical artificial synapses. ​​She​ aims to combine density functional theory, molecular dynamics, and machine learning to better understand mechanisms of ionic transport, and she is co-advised by Professors Bilge Yildiz and Ju Li.
