Georgios Dimitrakopoulos

Research Scientist

Georgios investigates the fundamentals of catalyst exsolution from perovskite materials using experimental and numerical methods. The goal of his research is to design membrane reactors and electrodes with high catalytic activity and increased long-term stability compared to the traditional catalyst deposition methods.
The applications include water and carbon dioxide splitting to produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide, respectively, combined with methane or higher hydrocarbon conversion into added-value chemicals.
