The conventional sintering process leads to side-reactions and forms impurities at the cathode-electrolyte interface. Therefore, depending on the interfacial degradation, the transportation rate of lithium ions reduces, which confines the power density of solid-state batteries. My research focuses on a novel sintering technique called cold sintering. In the cold sintering process the sintering temperature is reduced below 200 °C by introducing a solution as transient solvent to promote the densification by a dissolution-precipitation process. The main objective of the study is to explore the cold sintering conditions for different solid electrolyte and cathode materials.
